There are so many reasons to dive in Bay of Banderas, but the thing that sets diving in Puerto Vallarta apart is the incredibly beautiful rock formations, arches, tunnels and crevices created by volcanic activity millions of years ago. A little bit of explosives testing in the early 1900s by the Mexican Government helped with those crevices, too! What we have today is a wonderful natural resource, dive sites all throughout Bay of Banderas, and in the Pacific Ocean just beyond the bay.

Each dive site has its own character. Want to swim through a tunnel at 100 ft? How about an underwater mountain range?
